So we hit the driving range Tuesday due to the course plugging the front nine and too much rain to play the back nine. Tried working on my fairway woods, but had issues with my swing. I could not get consistent on my takeaway, so my club would smack the mat before the ball…VERY FRUSTRATING, especially when you know what you are doing wrong and cannot adjust.
One of my main problems is John (pictured above in his more comfortable golf attire), he showed up and hit with some of my clubs and broke them…They worked just fine before he hit with them, then BAM they stopped working for me!!!
I plan on going to the range maybe Thursday or Friday to try and correct takeaway…again…
FORE!

Howdy,
I started playing golf with my brother John and best friend Mike about 20 years back. I have no grand illusions of play on any type of tour, I just like to play. Mike and I created “Hack Fest” back in 2003 so that we could get away for a couple of days just to play golf (and poker!). We have 6 original members, besides Mike and I, my brothers John and Mike, Jim, and Big Joe. We have held Hack Fest every year since 2003 with trips to the Oregon coast, Eastern Oregon, Southern Oregon, and Mesquite Nevada!
I have decided that I need to improve my game. I’ve been shooting on the high 90s and have set a goal of trying to break 80 (hopefully in my lifetime). I have create this blog so that my friends can track my progress (and my regress), as well comment of courses that we play, games that we play, and friends that we make. I guarantee that there will not be any “men’s club” as friends, as we find most of them to be overrated, have delusions of grandeur, and some of the worst complainers of other golfers.
Well, enough about me….FORE!
